Do you have an idea that you want to get off the ground? Or perhaps you need support with running costs for your group?

Boston Big Local’s Community Chest is a small grants fund for residents, community groups and charities within the Boston Big Local area. It is available to residents who have an innovative idea which needs a cash boost to make it happen, and to charities and community groups who may need some additional support to carry out their services.

Residents of any age within the Boston Big Local area can apply for a grant of up to £1000 from the Community Chest as long as it meets one of the four Boston Big Local priorities:

  • Improving health and wellbeing
  • Creating a more attractive environment
  • Building community spirit
  • Encouraging enterprise

Community Chest funding applications must have the support of at least two residents.

A new round of funding is now available. The deadline for applications is Monday 31 July 2017 at 6pm.

There are two funding streams that residents can apply for:

  • grants for residents and/or community groups to undertake projects, and
  • running costs such as volunteer expenses for groups that meet Boston Big Local’s priorities.

To apply for funding, download and complete the Community Chest application form. A map of the Boston Big Local area and a list of street names are available here. Guidance Notes are also available to help you with your application.
