cuflyerwebBoston residents living at addresses with postcodes beginning PE21 6** and PE21 8** can open an account with the Lincolnshire Credit Union using a special ‘Five Botolph Pounds’ voucher funded by Boston Big Local. The Lincolnshire Credit Union Assisted Membership Scheme (LCUAMS) voucher can be used in place of the £5 sterling usually needed to open a savings account with the credit union. The voucher covers the Lincolshire Credit Union’s payment of the new member’s administration registration fee and also provides the initial savings deposit.

Members of the credit union can access Lincolnshire Credit Union’s full range of financial products, which includes savings, and loans of between £100 and £7,500 at affordable rates (subject to credit/affordability assessments).

Members can also talk to a Lincolnshire Credit Union Money Coach to get help developing a budget based on their current financial situation. Money Coaches can also offer advice on:

• Identifying where to make household economies.

• Saving and planning for the future.

• Keeping a spending diary.

• Accessing affordable borrowing (if appropriate).

• Getting further help and budgeting support.

Boston residents can find out more about the Lincolnshire Credit Union and the full terms and conditions of the accounts they offer on their website at www.lincscreditunion.org.uk.
