Every four months our community chest and events panel meets to consider all funding applications. At our last meeting in January 2023 we funded an amazing £16,000 worth of projects. This is the most we have ever funded in one quarter and we are looking forward to seeing the difference our funding makes to our area.

The Home Nursery
£1500
To purchase play items for their Toddle Tots Group, enabling the group to run independently and for families to take true ownership of it.
Pilgrim Hospital Radio
£1000
To help improve Pilgrim Hospital Radio’s service our funding will help purchase two laptop computers for their volunteers to use when visiting wards to ask patients for their song requests.
Your Day Your Say
£1500
To support Your Day Your Say’s adult members who have a range of different learning disabilities. Our funding secures a local qualified Movement to Music tutor for at least 45 weeks and the hire of the conference room at the LMVC.
Boston History Tours
£500
To help Boston History Tours branch out into doing school tours as well as my larger public groups. Our funding will help with the development of a new website and the purchase of a microphone.
BOS Musical Theatre Group
£1500
The upcoming production of My Fair Lady has a cast of 37, most of whom will require at least three different costumes in various scenes. Our funding will go towards the cost of hiring the costumes, thus helping ensure we continue to have theatre productions in the BLB area.
Boston Book Festival
£1500
This event is slowly becoming more and more self sufficient. However, this funding helps with the purchase of permanent banners, bunting, fliers, brochures and venue hire to help ensure this great event can continue after BBL finishes.
Indian Cultural Organisation of Lincolnshire
£1500<
To help this group share thier rich culture with the community we are happy to do our part in helping the Holi event come to Boston. Our funding will help with the logistics of events including stage, audio-visual hire, marquee hire as well as support with the marketing for this special day.
Boston Volunteer Centre Charity
£1500
This funding will be used to pay towards the increased utility bills in order to try and keep the fees for users of the centre at an affordable level. Reducing the fees will help all of Len Medlock Centre users.
BBC – Boston Carnival
£1500
To help celebrate the King’s Coronation in Central Park our funding will be used to hire performers such as Royal Jesters, hire a stage, pay for medical support and security for this event.
Boston Hanse
£1500
This funding support Boston’s Hanse Day which is held with a tented village in the Market Place in May. It shares hanse history and costumes, weavers, woodcarvers, a forge, medieval cookery and music, a juggler and fool, and other organisations. Our funding is going towards Professional fees, expenses for participants, ingredients for the cookery, the children’s Corner tent, publications and leaflets.
Boston Wheelers
£1000
Boston Wheelers Cycling Club encourage children (3 – 16) to learn and develop their bike skills and social interaction whilst improving health and fitness. Our funding will help the group support the young children with the purchase of balance bikes and equipment.
Boston Lithuanian Community
£1500
Pancake Day is a traditional Lithuanian event which is celebrated in Baltic countries. Our funding will enable this event by purchasing the musician, mask-making workshops, costumes, decorations, entertainer, game organiser, face painter, decorator, travel expenses, Hall hire, A large cake, promotion, photographer, refreshments, pancakes, decorations, equipment and gifts.
