At our last meeting in October, we discussed the application from Andrew Lovelace representing Christmas in Boston.
Christmas in Boston are a group who meet throughout the year to arrange the organisation of lights for Christmas. They work with local schools and community groups to create the lights to ensure everyone feels involved.
This year the residents of Boston Big Local chose to help support the Christmas lights by donating £1500. The group who need to raise all the money themselves to provide a bright, happy Christmas for the town.
In the two years the group have been active we have an ever growing range of lights throughout the town, thanks to the hard work and dedication. We are pleased that we could help Christmas in Boston under Theme 2 ‘A More Attractive Environment’ of our plan which helps meet the needs of the BBL area.
Today we had the pleasure of presenting the cheque as the lights were being put up.
