Local community radio station Endeavour FM has been awarded £1,000 in the latest round of community chest funding from Boston Big Local. The money will be used to offer training and educational opportunities for young people within the Boston Big Local area to help them learn more about working at a radio station. The training will be a chance for the young people to get an insight into how a radio station is run, as well as gain useful experience and new skills.
Endeavour FM offers the latest news from the community, as well as great music, sports updates and details of upcoming events.
“We are all delighted with the Boston Big Local award and thankful to the panel for seeing the tremendous value Endeavour FM offers to the community,” said Dylan Taylor from Endeavour FM. “We are eagerly looking forward to connecting with local youngsters on our doorstep and introducing them to the exciting world of FM radio and perhaps changing their lives for the better. If it wasn’t for the support of Boston Big Local, this simply wouldn’t happen.”
