Grab your bucket and spade and head down to the beach this week – in Boston’s Central Park! Yes, the beach in the park is back, and this year it will be bigger and better than ever.
The event will be held on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 August and will include 30 tonnes of sand and attractions such as donkey rides, arts and crafts activities, bouncy castles, games, circus skills, competitions and fun for the whole family.
The beach event is free and will be open between 10am and 3pm on both days. It is funded by Boston Big Local and organised by Boston Borough Council, supported by partner agencies Mayflower Housing, Boston Children’s Centre, Transported Arts and Boston United in the Community.
So come on down and enjoy the fun!
Stay safe in the sun
Botolph the Boston Big Local bear will be attending the beach event and, in anticipation of some warm weather, he will be wearing his sun hat, sunglasses and sun screen. You can read Botolph’s tips for staying safe in the sun in the flyer below.
