For the last few years, we have supported Boston Samaritans’ Mental Wellbeing outreach projects.
We have funded posters and banners along with a table and pop up displays for their stalls that have been used all around the area.
Next time you pop into town for a cuppa, keep an eye out for Boston Samaritans’ project of collaborating with local coffee shops and pubs who have agreed to display sharing table signs. Signs which encourage people to have a conversation with whoever is sat at that table.
The sharing table sign states:
“Simple interactions, such as a quick chat about the weather with someone, can help to connect us. If someone is feeling lonely, it could make a difference and help them feel less alone.
Sit back, enjoy your cuppa and say hello to the person next to you.”
Some of the venues around town that have kindly agreed to display the sharing table signs are:
- Church Keys
- Cafe De Paris
- The Greenhouse
If you know of a cafe, coffee shop or pub that will display our stand on one of their tables, then please do let us know.
Many thanks to @bostonbiglocal for funding this project. pic.twitter.com/Bu03rfcE8F— Samaritans of Boston, Spalding & Skegness Area (@SamsBostonUK) September 9, 2022
