This session had a Wacky Weaving theme.
Weaving is a very therapeutic activity and the gentle threading actions may be very familiar to many people, making it a suitable activity for those living with dementia.
Marti said she found herself singing throughout the session because she felt relaxed, where often she finds herself gritting and grinding her teeth because she feels very tense.
Carol really enjoyed this activity and said she felt calm and relaxed afterwards. Carol was able to add her own touches to this which she often finds uncomfortable with as she likes to follow an example precisely.
Andy adapted the activity to create this fantastic collage. He was really focused during this session and worked on it after the session time was over as he wanted to complete it.
