The Bears Coaching Community Chest Presentation WebBoston Big Local recently awarded £1,000 of Community Chest funding to The Bears Coaching, a start-up company that works with children aged 5 to 11 years who are local to the Boston area. The Bears Coaching teaches children the benefits of a healthy lifestyle through sport, particularly football. The funding they have received from Boston Big Local is being used to buy new equipment and to promote their sessions around Boston.

Max Ward, Founder of Bears Coaching, said: “The Community Chest award has given us a massive boost in funding and will help us buy new equipment for the children. The £1,000 we’ve received will help our Wednesday night session at Peter Paine Performance Centre.

“When we took on extra space in the hall to accommodate the new children coming to the sessions, we realised it looked a little bare. The support from Boston Big Local means that we now have plenty of equipment to fill the hall to really improve the footballing education at our sessions. A massive thank you to Boston Big Local for supporting us on our way to improving the quality of sports coaching in Lincolnshire.”
