Blooming Marvelous

We have been proud to fund and support Boston in Bloom for a number of years now. In that time they have blossomed and grown. Since their conception, they have focused on making our town look brighter.

We fund this amazing group under our ‘Theme 2 – Creating a more attractive environment‘ and the work their volunteers do around the town is really making our environment more attractive.

It is not just us that recognise their work around Boston, They have multiple awards from their entry into Britain in Bloom and have even been chosen to represent the East Midlands in the national RHS – Royal Horticultural Society Britain in Bloom competitions, which regardless of whether it happens or not in 2020, due to the pandemic, it is still a fantastic achievement.

One of our Boston Big Local Panel members took this photo of the beds outside the train station on the 23rd April during the COVID-19 lockdown. They said, “It was a beautiful display, that brightened my walk to the shop.”

Boston in Bloom and very active in the BBL area and as you can see from their BBL quarterly report below, they make a huge difference to our area:
