An independent group of friendly and enthusiastic people who meet regularly to share their common interest – the love of stitching.
They have members who are new to stitching, and some that have years of knowledge, members who prefer traditional embroidery, and others who work in a more contemporary way, with machine embroidery, dyeing and felting.
We have been supporting Boston Stitchers for quite some time in their aim to produce a large format book that depicts the history of Boston through stitch.
Having been lucky enough to see some early samples of this book at Boston Stitcher’s open days, we are very excited to see the completed book. A book that has had contributions from the wider community with residents being able to request a square to stitch and submit for their project.
All in all, we are sure this exciting project, when completed, will be an heirloom for our town for many many years to come.
