Boston Big Local recently presented a cheque for £440 to SMYLLE Boston Area Support Group which helps local people affected by myeloma, lymphoma, leukaemia and other blood cancers. The funding has been awarded through the Boston Big Local Community Chest and will help to support the services provided by the group.
SMYLLE offers regular meetings and social activities for people living with blood cancers, plus access to information about the conditions and support from Macmillan nurses. The activities on offer allow people with blood cancer and their carers, friends and family to come together to discuss their worries with people who can relate to what they are going through.
SMYLLE Boston Area Support Group meets on the first Thursday of every month from 7pm until 9pm at Wings Meadow Activity Centre, Freiston Road, Boston.
You can find out more about the group at www.smylleboston.co.uk or email info@smylleboston.co.uk.
