Boston United in the Community ran another multi sports taster day during the Whitsun holiday in May. Thirty-six children aged between 5 and 12 years old enjoyed taking part in the event, which was funded by Boston Big Local and aimed at encouraging young people to take up more opportunities to improve their health and wellbeing.
During the morning session the children enjoyed trying out a variety of different sports and games, including dodgeball, rounders, hockey and football. They were then able to choose which of the morning’s activities they wished to play and learn more about it in the afternoon session.
Boston United Football in the Community will be running further multi sports taster days during the summer. Details of the sessions will be advertised in Boston Borough Council’s Summer Fun brochure and you can also find out more on Boston United in the Community’s Facebook page or on their website.
